This past week on Smackdown Live, we would see two members of The Forgotten Sons return to WWE after months away. Steve Cutler & Wesley Blake are now aligned with King Corbin, and let’s face it, they were the best part of the faction. It looked for a moment like WWE had truly forgotten about Jaxson Ryker.
He was the man that got them noticed finally due to being a proper heavyweight, but never forget it once took three retapes for him to hit a powerbomb in NXT. Add in some questionable political tweets that had the locker room at his throat, and it was enough to kill Forgotten Sons.
However, WWE has let Ryker back into the fold, in another role that mercifully shouldn’t require him to wrestle many singles matches. He’s now aligned with Elias on Monday Night RAW, as shown by him showing up alongside the wrestling troubadour on the latest episode of WWE Main Event.
Jaxson Ryker Is Now A Roadie
The segment in question with Ryker & Elias was another generic musical performance from Elias. Main Event in recent weeks has been used as a testing ground for new ideas in WWE, and this is the latest example of this. Without live events, they need somewhere to do this, and it gives Main Event some purpose He just would stand by Elias as he performed, likely there to help carry gear and swat Jeff Hardy out of the sky should he manifest in the ring to ruin Elias’s day again.
Could This Be A New Tag Team?
It’s unclear how long this partnership will last. Maybe they’ll act as a tag team on Monday Night RAW to add to the lacking division. Ryker could just be getting paid to stand around and not touch anyone in-case he drops them on their head. Either way it shakes out, for once King Corbin drew the big straw, and absolutely won out in terms of the Forgotten Sons forgotten breakup.
