Since day one, Mark Briscoe has been a part of Ring of Honor. He’s been one half of their most iconic tag team, the eleven time ROH World Tag Team Champions, The Briscoes. Jay Briscoe is his brother, best friend, and the man who he teamed with for those eleven reigns. But now, things are different. Jay Briscoe seems to be going solo once again, something which previously made him the ROH World Champion.
Despite this, Mark Briscoe has a title shot in his back pocket for the coveted title of twelve time champion. Jay is out, he’s wrestling EC3 at Final Battle, it’s fine. Mark Briscoe found someone who can match his crazy, and that is PCO. Together, they will challenge Jay Lethal & Jonathan Briscoe of The Foundation for the ROH World Tag Team Championships, but will they be able to win?
Mark Briscoe & PCO Have Went To War Against Each Other
One thing that is holding them back, is that they will make their tag team debut in a match for the ROH World Tag Team Champions. Both are former champions, and tag team specialists, but that doesn’t mean they will instantly be an all time great team, which is what it might take to beat Gresham & Lethal.
The advantage they have is having faced each other in past wars. PCO knows the strengths of Mark Briscoe and vice versa. You learn a lot about someone when you go to war, and that could be all these two need, alongside their natural tag team instincts. There is a combined 21+ tag team championship reigns between them, and that will count for something itself.
What Is Really Important To Jonthan Gresham?
Another mark in their favour comes in Jonathan Gresham, who is working Double Duty at Final Battle. He’s one half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions, but also the ROH Pure Champion. This means he faces Mark Briscoe & PCO in one match, then Flip Gordon in another for the Pure Championship. Throughout the Pure Tournament, he would rarely carry the ROH World Tag Team Championship to the ring.
It will be shown exactly what is important to Gresham, the tag team championships, or the Pure Championship. He needs to be fully focused in both matches, but his chance of leaving with all his gold without cheating and breaking his code of honor is low.
