The Money In The Bank contract has been one of the most exciting elements to the WWE for much of its history. However, the prestige that it once carried has faded throughout much of 2020, after the WWE handed the ultimate opportunity to Otis. It never looked as though he was going to successfully cash it in, and if anything, that win was just to create a shock value, which it unquestionably did.
However, The Miz won the briefcase from Otis a couple of months back, and it has immediately become a more interesting possibility. Unlike Otis, The Miz has already won a WWE Championship during his career, which means that he knows what it takes to seize the opportunity.
WWE News: Could It Happen Before The End Of The Year?
There is just one PPV left before the end of the year, and at that show Drew McIntyre will be defending his championship against AJ Styles. It could be argued that The Miz has missed his chance to cash in on a vulnerable champion so far, as McIntyre has been beaten down by Roman Reigns and Randy Orton over the past couple of months. Instead, he could be buying his time until a weaker champion is holding the title.
Styles is by no means weaker than McIntyre, but the physical difference between Styles and Miz is much more similar. Miz could see Styles become champion and then take his chance to cash in. There will always be repercussions of doing that, which will set up a programme with Styles, while McIntyre may also look to win back the championship. However, it could create a much needed confusion around the main event on Raw.
WWE News: Who Could Face The Miz?
The Miz has worked with every huge star in the company thus far, and also claimed a WrestleMania main event victory over John Cena. There are so many possible contenders that could try and overthrow The Miz, with possible heel-on-heel feuds also likely against Sheamus and Mustafa Ali.
However, the most eye-catching rivalry that we could see could pit Miz against John Morrison. There certainly already looks to be jealously in their friendship, and Morrison could be using the Miz to win his first championship before then turning on his partner. The two were adversaries in the past before Morrison’s departure, and it would be an interesting rivalry between the two that captivates the audience.
