It was a decent episode on Raw on Monday evening, as the attention quickly was set on the upcoming TLC PPV that takes place on Sunday evening. There were a number of enjoyable matches throughout the evening, but it was really the segments away from the ring that really captured the imagination and continued some of the biggest stories towards TLC.
WWE News: Randy Orton Silenced By The Fiend
The feud between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt was the backbone of the episode on Monday night, as two were involved in a game of hide and seek. Wyatt was tasked with finding Orton, and that led to a number of engaging moments between Wyatt and other stars such as Riddle and R-Truth. However, Orton finally revealed himself after Wyatt sat down in the old chair that was synonymous with the Wyatt Family.
Orton beat Wyatt down before putting him in a box and setting it on fire. However, the Viper was stunned when The Fiend emerged from the box and locked in his signature submission move on Orton. It looks unlikely that Orton will be ending the year with a win on PPV.
WWE News: Lana’s Rise And Fall
There was a massive shock in one of the standout stories inside the ring, as Lana defeated Nia Jax. Not only was this one of the biggest shocks of the night, but it was arguably one of the biggest shocks in recent memory. Not many people could have believed Lana beating Jax clean on just an episode of Raw.
However, it didn’t come without cost for Lana, as she was brutally attacked by Jax and Shayna Baszler. It was quickly reported afterwards that Asuka was now looking for a new tag team partner for the match, but we are secretly hoping this is a swerve and Lana returns in time for TLC.
WWE News: AJ Styles Gets Upperhand On McIntyre
The final segment of the night saw the WWE Championship take centre stage, and it was AJ Styles that ended the show standing tall. The numbers game caught up to Drew McIntyre in the end, as he was beaten up by Styles, John Morrison and The Miz.
However, after getting back into the fight and clearing the ring, there was one last man standing in McIntyre’s way and that was Styles’ associate. That distraction cost McIntyre, and he ended up getting put through a table to end the eventful night on Raw.
