Hello and welcome to WWE Raw Live Results!
I’m your host, CP Bialois, and we’re looking forward to seeing what matches are set for tonight as well as hoping we’re in for as good a show as Friday’s Smackdown.
Now’s as good a time as any for us to grab some snacks and settle in, and WWE Raw Live Results will be back for the 8 p.m. EST showtime.
Segment 1
A brief memorial picture was shown to celebrate Jon Huber (AKA Luke Harper and Brodie Lee) who died December 26 from a lung infection. Hope they do more than that to commemorate him.
Drew McIntyre started the show off by saying what 2020 meant to him and then onto facing either Sheamus or Keith Lee next week.
Sheamus and Lee had a brief exchange and Sheamus hit Lee with a Brogue Kick before the match could start.
Segment 2
Keith Lee vs. Sheamus
This started out as a physically brutal match, and Sheamus hit with an ax handle off the top rope and knocked Lee onto the announce desk as we headed to commercial.
Segment 3
A great physical match ended when Lee hit a Spirit Bomb for the win. Guess Sheamus will be back jobbing next week? He deserves so much more.
Segment 4
The Miz (w/John Morrison) vs. Gran Metalik (w/Lince Dorado)
This was a fun match that the Miz didn’t appear into much, and he looked heartbroken when Metalik win with a roll up. Whoops.
Segment 5
Dana Brooke (w/Mandy Rose) vs. Shayna Baszler
Baszler won a so-so match with a Coquina Clutch, and then slapped it on Mandy Rose for good measure, basically dominating both women without Nia Jax there.
Segment 6
Alexa’s Playground with special guest Randy Orton
This was your typical segment, but in a twist, Orton didn’t come out to the ring when she called for him.
He appeared in the Firefly Fun House instead and broke Wyatt’s playmates, causing Bliss ot challenge him to a match later tonight.
He accepted.
Segment 7
AJ Styles (w/Omos) vs. Elias (w/Jaxson Ryker)
This started off pretty methodical, but looked good as Elias threw Styles into teh ring psot as we headed to commercial.
Segment 8
In arguably the best match of the night, Styles won after hitting a Phenominal Forearm. This was the type of match Elias needed, and hopefully this will continue for him.
Segment 9
Ricochet vs. Mustafa Ali (w/T-Bar, Mace, Slapjack, Reckoning)
A decent match that exposed Ali needing Retribution for him to get the upper hand on Ricochet headed to commercial following an Ali splash on Ricochet from the top rope to the floor.
Segment 10
A better match than expected, Ali won after choking out Ricochet after a great effort where Ricochet took out the other Retribution members.
After the match, Ricochet refused to join Retribution and hit a Recoil on Ali and took off.
Segment 11
Charlotte Flair (w/Asuka) vs. Nia Jax (w/Shayna Baszler)
This was a good back and forth match that Jax gained the upper hand after countering a figure 4 attempt by slamming Flair into the corner and going for the pin as we headed to commercial.
Segment 12
Flair locked in the figure 4, but Baszler put her in the Coquina Clutch for the disqualification. Baszler and Jax took off when Asuka came to Flair’s aid.
Segment 14
The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) and Hardy Bros (Jeff Hardy and Riddle) vs. Hurt Business (MVP, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander)
This match started slow, but the New Day and Hardy Bros quickly took over with a new Unicorn Stampede and cleared the ring as we headed to commercial.
Segment 15
This was a good match that exploded into the typical chaos that’s always part of a tag match anymore before Jeff submitted to the Hurt Lock.
Adam Pearce gave the MITB contract back to the Miz because Morrison cashed it in. Guess this storyline will never die.
Segment 16
Alexa Bliss‘ Challenge
Bliss called Orton out to the ring where she poured a can of gas over her and demanded Orton do to her what he did to the Fiend.
The lights went out in Fiend fashion, but Orton lit a match and looked like he was about to drop it and the announcers begged him not to.
And that’s were it went off the air.
Whelp, a decent show had the worst ending it could’ve, but we’re not surprised. The WWE has loved building drama like this lately.
Oh well, there’s always the new year. What did you all think of it? Let us know in the comments below, and thank you for joining WWE Raw Live Results.
We had a blast and can’t wait until next time.
