WWE Smackdown Results have been looking forward to this match, and it started with a quick lockup and Banks backed Carmella into the corner until forced to break the hold.
Carmella ducked a right from Banks, then grabbed Banks’ hair from behind and slammed her to the mat, then threw her into the corner and into her boot.
Carmella shouted at Banks about her being the best, then choked Banks out on the ropes before slapping her.
Carmella hit a tilt-a-whirl takedown off the ropes, then hit with a kick and drop toe hold but Banks slipped out of her Cone of Silence.
Banks went for a Bank Statement, but Carmella shoved her into the corner and hit a bunch of reverse elbows on Banks, then threw her into another corner.
Banks flipped her over the top rope, but Carmella landed on the apron, so Banks hit her with a knee and a swinging meteora over the top rope.
Carmella blocked a couple of kick attempts, then slammed Banks into the apron face first and dropped Banks to the floor as we headed to commercial.
Banks snaps
Back from commercial, they’re back in the ring and Banks was in control as she pulled Carmella to the top rope from the apron.
Carmella slammed Banks’ head into the top of the ring post and drove her into the post shoulder first, and then threw her into the ring for a near pinfall.
Carmella hit with a series of rights for another pin attempt, and then a snapmare and a reverse chin lock.
Banks backed her into a corner and hit a series of reverse elbows, and then a running double knee followed by a swinging double knee strike for a near pinfall.
Carmella fought out of a backstabber, then hit a big boot. She then lockd in an upside down but broke the hold at four.
She then hit a crossbody off the top rope for a near pinfall. She then hit Banks with a kick to the midsection, but Banks flipped her over for a pin attempt that Carmella reversed into a Cone of Silence.
Banks manages to reveres the hold into a Bank Statement, and Carmella’s associate threw a champagne bottle into the ring to distract the referee as he pulled Banks to the floor.
Banks went after him and chased him through the ring. Carmella grabbed her, but banks beat her doe and the referee called for a disqualification.
Carmella’s associate tried to pull Banks off her, but Banks nailed him, hit a Backstabber, and then locked in a Bank Statement.
Carmella broke it up with a kick, and then hit a superkick to send Banks to the floor.
Carmella takes over
She followed her out to the floor, yelling that Banks lost it. She then shoved Banks’ face into a bucket of ice for the champagne.
Carmella then broke a champagne bottle on Banks’ back, then poured herself a glass to refresh herself.
Carmella sprayed down the announcers and took a swig of champagne as she gloated over Banks.
This was the best match of the night and a great tease for their TLC match.
Over all, tonight’s show was pretty good and we really enjoyed it. Triple H’s influence ids definitely felt now, and we’re grateful to him for that.
