A few weeks back, we saw the debut of NXT UK’s first talk show, that being Supernova Sessions. Hosted by Noam Dar, the debut episode ended with A-Kid defending the Heritage Cup against a returning Tyler Bate! This week, he is host to the debuting Ben Carter, making his first WWE appearance.
First, a quick recap on who Ben Carter is. He’s just 22 years old, trained by Seth Rollins at the Black & Brave Wrestling School, and made waves in AEW with excellent matches with Lee Johnson & Scorpio Sky. This got him enough hype to make an NXT UK signing an obvious choice. The debut was hyped up on the build up to the first episode of 2021, and now he’s here.
Ben Carter Makes His NXT UK Debut
Dar doesn’t believe in ‘New Years, New Me’, but has a list of goals for 2021. He wants to be NXT Cruiserweight Champion, NXT World Champion, NXT UK World Champion, and to have the lead role in The Marine 475. Most of all, he wants Supernova Sessions to be the best show in the world. He’d invite ‘Ben Carpenter’ to the set, and cut straight to the chase.
Dar claims there’s a question on everyone’s mind, and that’s if he’s got a passion for Carpentry or not, but Carter would clear up that’s not actually his last name. Carter knew Dar would pull these kinds of tricks, and Dar tried to not look like a dafty. Dar knows he’s the hottest prospect in the game, but Carter isn’t just happy to be in NXT UK. He wants to face the best there is on offer, and everyone knows it starts in NXT UK.
Jordan Devlin Gets To Test The Prodigy
Dar claims to be what Carter is looking for, but then the music of the TRUE NXT Cruiserweight Champion would hit. Jordan Devlin makes his Supernova Sessions debut! Dar would be asked why Carter was on the show before Devlin. He knows Carter is a big deal, he’s been in his shoes as a prodigy, but now he’s got gold to prove his hype. Gold that he would remind us is on the line every single time he’s in the ring, yet he gets passed over for Supernova Sessions?
Dar would point out that when Devlin’s the Undisputed NXT Cruiserweight Champion, his people will talk with Devlin’s people and get him on the show. Carter would validate that Devlin is the true Cruiserweight Champion, the ace of NXT UK, one of the gatekeepers. Therefore, he shouldn’t have an issue putting that belt on the line tonight against Carter. Devlin accepts, and we have our main event!
