Hello and welcome to WWE Raw Results!
It looks like we should have a fun show tonight as we should have a couple of fun matches and segments setting up or furthering feuds.
With everything set, let’s get to the action.
The show opened with an awesome tribute video to Martin Luther King Jr. This was a great way to start the show off.
Our view switched to inside the Thunderdome and then to Randy Orton sitting in darkness as he talked about a saying about people that fight fire with fire end up with ashes of the one responsible for their affliction.
He was then shown to be wearing a burn mask and said the voices in his head have never been louder. They encapsulated his every thought like the mask did his face.
He pointed out how he held Alexa Bliss’ fate in his hands 3 weeks ago, but he showed compassion — a part of himself he didn’t know existed.
A tv in front of him replayed that moment and switched off when the show ended. The camera then refocused on him and it’s revealed he’s in a ring.
He said he redirected his anger and his next victim arrived in the form of Triple H until Bliss interrupted and we saw a replay of last week when she burned him.
He demanded that we look at him and questioned that this was his damnation for showing compassion.
Burned clean
He said he hasn’t been able to sleep because all he can see is the wall of fire coming at his face.
Orton added that the inescapable feeling of the fire melting his flesh will never go away, and it burned away any form of compassion left in him.
He said he’s wearing the mask to protect himself and others from the horror he endured.
Despite the agony he felt, he considered himself lucky for only having first degree burns. He said it could’ve been more severe.
He doesn’t blame Bliss, but he blames the Fiend and that he sent him straight to hell.
He said there’s no doubt the Fiend is responsible for this and Bliss was only the vehicle. He added he knows the Fiend wants to stop him from achieving the inevitable — winning the Royal Rumble.
No delusions of grandeur here, folks.
He then said he knows everyone in the locker room enjoyed seeing their biggest threat may have been eliminated, but he said nothing will stop him from winning the Royal Rumble match.
He vowed to remain in the match. He said he can only compete as long as he can tolerate pain, and added that he enjoys the pain.
It fuels his every move and said everyone can thank the Fiend when he burns their dreams to ashes and he goes on to main event WrestleMania.
He then lit a match and watched it burned for a minute before blowing it out. This was one of the best promos WWE Raw Results have seen in a long time, and Orton really rocked it.
