Kyle O’Reilly shocked fans after he was stretchered off with an alleged seizure during NXT following an attack by Adam Cole.
Kyle O’Reilly Sent Fans Into A frenzy After He was Stretchered Off
However, the drama was short-lived after it emerged that the scene was part of the storyline. Bryan Alvarez told Wrestling Observer Radio as much: “They did an injury angle on the NXT show, and a report came out from somebody in the building that he had suffered a seizure. And, of course, this went all over the internet. As of right now, the story from WWE is that it was part of an angle and that he’s fine.
Nevertheless, the confusion continued as they waited for concrete proof. He added: “Well, I mean, if it’s part of an angle, then he’s fine. Unless he was actually hurt, in which case, maybe he’s not fine. But if what they’re saying is that it’s part of an angle, that it’s a storyline, then he would be fine. Sure.
“If you can’t figure this out, everybody, we actually don’t know for sure that this is all storyline because I can tell you that there were people that were in the crowd that thought that he was knocked out. I can tell you that there are people within NXT that thought that he was hurt. And WWE put out, through some other individuals, the story that it was part of an angle.”
And fans were put out of their misery as Kyle revealed all to allay any fears that he may have had a serious injury. He told his fans on Twitter: “Thanks, everyone, for checking in; your love and support truly means the World. I was placed on a stretcher last night out of concern for my neck after receiving a brainbuster on the steps.
“Thankfully I can move around somewhat OK today, but I may need some time to heal. As much as that hurt and sucked last night, the betrayal was worse. Coming back from this stronger and with a thirst for revenge. Best served cold.”
