WWE NXT Results: Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai vs. Kacy Catanzano & Kayden Carter [Dusty Classic Match]

Tonight, Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter have a chance to redeem themselves and make history in the process. The last time they met Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai, they got flattened by Gonzalez. Several months have passed, their chemistry as a tag team is better than ever, and this time there is a finals spot in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic on the line. Can they overcome the odds, or will their dreams be flattened tonight?

Kayden Carter Shows Her Speed

Catanzaro started with Kai, and took her down with an arm drag. Kai out powered her headlock attempt, before Carter tagged in. They’d get a modified muta clutch to trap the head of Kai before a dropkick. Kai came back with an inverted backbreaker, before tagging in Gonzales.

Gonzalez went for a powerbomb, Carter slipping out and managing to use her speed to get the best of Gonzalez after a springboard dropkick. Catanzaro tagged in for a dive to the outside, and was caught and just thrown into the ring. A big elbow drop into an assisted double foot stomp from Kai would batter Catanzaro, but she refused to be pinned.

Catanzaro got free after a springboard, and Carter was once again able to get the better of Gonzalez with her speed and strikes. Kai tried to get involved, and just got beat down as well. Carter got a springboard hurricarana, before a springboard roll up, but ending with a kick instead of a pinfall. Gonzalez got back by throwing Carter to the outside and to the announce table.

Raquel Gonzalez Is A Beast

During the picture in picture break, Carter was firmly isolated by Kai & Gonazlez, who made quick tags in and out. Carter would slip out of Gory Special, but Gonzalez got her foot and did her best to pull her away from the tag. Kai tagged in, lost control, and Catanzaro hit the ring with insane speed.

Catanzaro sent Kai to the outside, jumped from the ring to the steel beams at ringside, and then dove onto both Gonzalez & Kai to great effect. A scorpion kick to Carter would stun her, and an assisted Go To Kick got a near fall, before Catanzaro broke the pin up.

Carter saved Catanzaro from a pinfall, before jumping on the back of Gonzalez and attacking her. She’d get Gonzalez with a rope assisted piledriver, before Catanzaro got the sky twister stomp, but Kai broke the pin up. Gonzalez got back up, nailed the one armed powerbomb to book their ticket to the finals.
