Soon, the Young Bucks will have to defend their AEW World Tag Team Championships against Death Triangle member Rey Fenix & PAC. Tonight though, we almost have a rematch of the Fyter Fest 2019 main event, as The Young Bucks & Brandon Cutler face The Lucha Bros & Laredo Kid, who is making his second AEW appearance tonight. This will be some insanely fast paced action for sure.
Breakneck Action Is No Stranger In Matches With The Young Bucks
Nick would start with Fenix, and they’d chain wrestle over wrist control. Fenix got a quick roll up, and they’d go for simultaneous dropkicks and clotheslines before casually tagging out to their brothers. Matt & Penta would face off, but Matt just kicked a taunting Penta in the gut before going for a springboard armdrag, but Penta countered into a crucifix pin.
Penta would slip out of a sharpshooter attempt, before tagging in Laredo. Cutler met him and took a thrust kick to the stomach before a shot to the jaw. A headscissor takedown sent Cutler outside, but The Young Bucks caught Laredo with a dropkick. Fenix hit the implosion armdrag, before Penta dove over the top rope.
Cutler caught Fenix with a kick to the back and a springboard forearm before diving to the outside. Laredo dove off the top rope with a moonsault, but couldn’t follow up as Young Bucks set up the Dirt Bomb for a two count. Matt slowed things down with a wrist lock, and they’d take turns hitting the elbow of Laredo with dives. Quick tags from the Bucks & Cutler would keep the pressure on Laredo, who came back with a DDT.
Laredo Kid Seals The Deal
Penta and Nick got tags, and Penta hit two slingblades before he’d drop The Young Bucks alongside his brother with superkicks. A double foot stomp and senton bomb got near falls, before Fenix & Nick were left in the ring. Nick hit a series of strikes in the corner before they’d trade kicks in the ring, before Nick hit a Brodie Lee style discuss lariat, and turned Fenix inside out.
Laredo and Matt traded blows next, until Matt hit his neverending Northern Lights Suplexes, which can go forever but he’d let go after three and a double suplex involving Penta. The Young Bucks hit Risky Business, before Cutler hit a springboard elbow drop. Penta broke up the pin, before being taken out of the outside. Fenix was caught with an assisted Indytaker in the ring, before Nick took out Penta again. Fenix was hit with a springboard DDT on the apron, before Laredo Kid won the match in the ring with a top rope Spanish Fly on Cutler.
Enter Kenny Omega
After the match, Kenny Omega attacked Laredo Kid from behind, and he was a recent opponent of Omega in AAA. Omega was seeing into the past and asking what went wrong between him and The Young Bucks? He left his friends and family three years ago, to chase the vision with The Young Bucks to make the best wrestling promotion on the planet.
Yet they chose Brandon Cutler over him tonight. They get one more chance, before they’re in the sights of Omega. He’d toss up the too sweet, and they’d reject. Kenny Omega was laid out by Fenix, Penta and Laredo Kid, while Don Callis ran to the hills and Good Brothers were slow on the save.
What is next for The Young Bucks & Kenny Omega? Will we be seeing more Laredo Kid in AEW? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
