Another episode of Monday Night Raw takes place this evening, as the weekend of WrestleMania is drawing ever closer. The biggest event of the year is once again taking place over two nights, which means that the majority of superstars will be involved in a match during the grandest show of the year.
Some of the most interesting rivalries that will come to a head at Mania this year will continue on Raw tonight, but could that see a number of shocks taking place tonight?
WWE News: Sheamus And Riddle Clash
The United States Championship is still around the waist of Riddle, but he doesn’t yet have a match penciled in for Mania this year. There was a tease on Raw last week that we could be set to see Sheamus challenge for the gold at the biggest show of the year.
The two clashed backstage, with Sheamus attacking Riddle with a scooter. A non-title match between the two superstars could take place this evening, but that will likely only whet the appetite for a future championship match between the two superstars.
WWE News: Superstars Line Up To Take Out McIntyre
Bobby Lashley has thrown down the challenge to the entire Raw locker room, and we could potentially see a couple of superstars look to take out Drew McIntyre on Raw tonight. Lashley has promised a title opportunity at Mania for whichever superstar takes out the Scot, and that could lead to a number of stars throwing their hat into the ring this week.
It will be interesting to see which superstars take on the challenge, but it goes without saying that we don’t expect the WWE Championship match to change between now and Mania. That means that whichever superstar looks to take out McIntyre will ultimately fail.
WWE News: Women’s Title Match Contract Signing
There will be a huge Raw Women’s title defence taking place at Mania this year, with Rhea Ripley taking on Asuka. We still wouldn’t be surprised to see Charlotte Flair thrown into the mix, but the Queen’s chances of being in that match could come to an end tonight with a contract signing to make the match official.
Ripley looks good value to be the next Raw Women’s champion, and she could lay down a marker for the Empress tonight with an attack on Asuka during the contract signing.
