The recent addition of Meiko Satomura to the NXT UK Women’s roster has everyone stepping up their game, including Aoife Valkyrie. Many have felt she has been ready to challenge Kay Lee Ray for a while yet, but she hasn’t gotten the chance yet. Tonight, she will once again prove she belongs in the title picture, and will likely do it at the expense of Stevie Tyler. Valkyrie remains undefeated, but that anxiety can drive someone insane.
Stevie Turner Looks To Make Her Mark On NXT UK
Stevie Turner was making her debut for the brand tonight, and was formerly known as STARDOM’s Bobbi Tyler, a close friend and stablemate of Hana Kimura in Tokyo Cyber Squad. Certainly one to keep your eyes on in this stacked division. She’d lock up with Valkyrie and end up in a headlock, but manage to shove her off into the corner.
Valkyrie ran up the turnbuckle and landed on her feet, but Turner was able to roll her down to the mat and apply a headlock of her own. They’d battle over control of a top wrist lock, and Turner used her height to take Valkyrie down. Valkyrie came back with a running dropkick, before kicking a downed Turner.
Aoife Valkyrie Takes To The Sky
Turner was able to get the single leg takedown, and got some kicks in on the leg of Valkyrie, likely trying to neutralize the diving leg drop finish. Valkyrie was dropped in the corner and pulled out to be slammed down, Turner couldn’t keep control however. She’d take another big dropkick from Valkyrie, who followed up with an enziguri for a near fall.
Turner was able to come back with a backstabber out of the corner, getting a two count. This just fired up Valkyrie who hit the leg lariat. Valkyrie went high, nailed Peripeteia for the win, and continued her winning ways. Will Aoife Valkyrie get her shot soon? Is Stevie Tyler a potential star in NXT UK?
