Bad Bunny made all sorts of headlines during his time in the WWE as he and Damian Priest feuded with The Miz and John Morrison.
While their rivalry culminated at WrestleMania 37, the lessons and respect has continued.
Prior to then, Bad Bunny was reported as saying he loved professional wrestling and would like to make a career in the WWE at some point.
Given the success of his music, we expect it to be more of a part time thing where he comes in from time to time, similar to Cyndi Lauper in the 1980s during the Rock ‘N Wrestling period.
Stereotypes shattered
On The Shop on HBO, Bad Bunny showed respect to Triple H and the Undertaker after training for his in ring moments:
“It’s real. It’s 100% real. It’s insane.
“When I was learning the first day and they were teaching me how to fall, I said, ‘How can these people do this for 20-30 years… receiving that pain?’”

One of the most commonly heard criticisms of professional wrestling is it’s “fake.”
To be honest, it’s scripted as what most wrestlers say and do is predetermined and the outcomes are preset, but the physicality can’t be faked.
We’re not talking about punches and kicks, but the physical blows they take hitting the mat, floor, and each other in many occurrences.
Many of us got to see an inside look into that world during WWE’s Tough Enough reality show, but it’s been years so it’s easy to forget.
Thankfully, we have people like Bad Bunny that aren’t shy about sharing the realities of what they see.
Respect earned
Bad Bunny’s candid words earned him a great deal of respect from some of the sport’s greats publicly.
One was the Undertaker as he took to Twitter to say, “Well said, @sanbenito. You did us ALL proud at #WrestleMania. #DeadmanApproved.”

This is something we’ve seen a lot of over the years, especially from other professional athletes that have shared their love of professional wrestling.
One of the best ways we’ve seen professional wrestling described, and it doesn’t do it justice, is they’re stuntmen and women that act.
Every day, they put their lives and health on the line to entertain us. Yes, they do things as safely as possible.
Yes, the endings are predetermined, but there’s no denying the physical abuse they go through.
