Recently a former WWE Champion was able to make his return to Monday Night RAW. This was Jinder Mahal, and he didn’t come alone. Once, Mahal was backed up by Sumir & Sunil Singh, otherwise known as The Bollywood Boyz. While they were able to get him to the WWE Championship. Mahal knew that the main event landscape in WWE is tougher than ever, he needed better back up. So now he’s got Veer & Shanky backing him up, but who are they?
Veer Is Rinku Singh, Former Member Of Indus Sher & The Pittsburgh Pirates
First up we have Veer, who might be familiar to those who watch NXT frequently. He was previously known as Rinku Singh of Indus Sher, a short lived tag team on the brand that was managed by Malcolm Bivens. Despite some hype that they could be akin to Authors of Pain, things went south when his partner, Saurav Gurjar would spoil the result of Keith Lee vs. Adam Cole on Instagram. We saw a brief reunion of Indus Sher at WWE Superstar Spectacle, where they teamed with Drew McIntyre to defeat Jinder Mahal & The Bollywood Boyz, but that was the end for them.
However, Singh was not always a professional wrestler. He was known before WWE within India and the MLB as a baseball player. Signh was the winner of a reality show known as Million Dollar Arm, where Singh won the contest out of over 37,000 participants after throwing 87 miles per hour with a pitch. Winning this got him to the Pittsburgh Pirates as a pitcher, which made him the first Indian to play professional baseball. All in all, Veer has major potential, and can hopefully break out as part of Monday Night RAW.
Shanky Is A Student Of The Great Khali
Meanwhile, Veer’s partner Shanky will stand out not due to his past, but rather his size. Shanky is 7’1 and 350lbs, and comparisons to The Great Khali are valid, as that was the man who trained him to wrestle.
We saw Shanky make his debut at Superstar Spectacle, where he teamed with Giant Zanjeer, Rey Mysterio, and Ricochet to defeat Cesaro, Dolph Ziggler, King Corbin, and Shinsuke Nakamura in an eight-man tag-team match. Shanky is rather unproven, but his size alone could get him far in WWE.
