Cameron Grimes rolled up to NXT looking like a million bucks. He had his own limo, and threw the keys at Jake Atlas to tell him to park it up front. Atlas was quick to inform him that that spot was already taken by Ted Dibiase, who is set to show up tonight on WWE NXT. Grimes was quick to tell Atlas that he’s gonna meet him in the ring tonight and get stomped out.
Cameron Grimes Tries To Embarrass Ted DiBiase
Before Grimes made his way to the ring, he’d show a video package of Ted DiBiase getting beat up in the ring, even showing his loss to Virgil. He was showing DiBiase at his absolute worst, as revenge for once again on-upping him tonight. This prompted a chant of DiBiase in the Capitol Wrestling Center. Grimes was caught off guard by both this and a dropkick from Atlas, which sent him outside before we went to a commercial break.
Coming back after the break, Grimes had regained his composure, but Atlas was staying in the fight with an impressive springboard armdrag. A gamiguri in the corner was followed up by a diving hurricanrana to drop Grimes. Grimes threw Atlas off his rhythm with a kick from the mat, before catching him with a knee strike to the stomach got him a two count.
He’d drive Atlas into the corner and grind his elbow into his throat, before throwing him across the ring. Grimes would take some strikes from Atlas, before launching off a kick and having it blocked. Atlas would nail a German Suplex, before a jumping knee strike and the ripcord spinning lariat for a two count.
Grimes met Atlas on the top rope, but ended up shoved off and almost hit with the Rainbow DDT. Atlas missed the dive, and Grimes nailed the running Spanish Fly. Grimes was setting up the Cave In, as Ted DiBiase’s music hit. He’d laugh on the ramp as Atlas rolled Grimes up for the win.
A short but fast paced match from two young stars of NXT, with a fun finish that kept the oddly great feud of Ted DiBiase & Cameron Grimes alive and kicking. Match Rating: 2/5 (**)
