Sheamus welcomed WWE Raw Results back by pointing out how he kicked both Mansoor and Carrillo’s tails last week, and went on about a few weeks back when Pearce told him he should issue a weekly challenge.
He asked why should he walk in their footsteps when he can carve a path of his own, and his opponents have to earn a shot and they won’t get their hands on his gold.
He said Carrillo is going to try to earn his opportunity and his respect, but he’s only going to get a Brogue Kick to the head and he called Carrillo out.
Sheamus vs. Humberto Carrillo
This should be a fun one, and after a shoving match they exchanged headlocks and leg scissors before Sheamus hit a shoulder block.
Carrillo gained the upper hand with a pair of dropkick to send Sheamus to the floor, but Sheamus used his baseball slide to pull him to the floor and threw him into the time keeper’s area.
Unfortunate injury
Back from commercial, they’re back in the ring and Sheamus was in control but Carrillo fought back but Sheamus dropped him with a reverse elbow and hit clubbing blows on the apron.
Carrillo fought out of the Dublin Smile, but it didn’t last ass Sheamus hit a Alabama Slam for a pin attempt.
Carrillo fought out of a White Noise off the middle rope and hit a hurricanrana to buy some time.
Sheamus rolled to the apron, and Carrillo hit a sunset bomb off the apron after fighting out of Sheamus’ clubbing blows.
The official called the match after Sheamus landed on Carrillo in the sunset bomb and Carrillo may have been injured.
We hope both are okay. That looked like a really hard hit for Carrillo.
A cool video segment and interview with Lucha House Party was unexpected, and it looks like they’re going to get a good push. This is going to be a fun ride.
Cedric Alexander vs. Shelton Benjamin
They started off trash talking, and Alexander had the upper hand early on thanks to his athleticism where he hit a dropkick and avoided a Pay Dirt attempt.
Alexander hit a dragonscrew in the ropes and set to work on Benjamin’s injured knee.
Alexander ate a couple of rights, then locked in a heel lock, but Benjamin powered up and countered it into a sharpshooter but Alexander grabbed he bottom rope.
Alexander regained the momentum after targeting Benjamin’s knee, and then hit a springboard step up kick and then mocked Benjamin and demanded he get up.
Benjamin hit a T-Bone Suplex out of nowhere for the pin.
This was a decent match but it feels like it could’ve gone longer in WWE Raw Results opinion. What are your thoughts?
