Right now, Eva Marie is set for a return to WWE. She’s been gone from WWE since 2017, but has been seen during vignettes as of late on Monday Night RAW. Her new character will be “a celebrity who wants to help other people”, and we might have two potential clients to undergo an “Eva-lution”. One is in NXT, and the other in NXT UK.
Piper Niven Is A Leading Name For Eva Marie’s Muscle
First up is NXT UK’s Piper Niven. Formerly known as Viper before her WWE run, where she held championships in ICW & Stardom. In NXT UK, she failed to make much of an impact, failing to capture the NXT UK Women’s Championship from Kay Lee Ray once.
Her last match was a mixed tag team match with Jack Starz against Jinny & Joseph Conners in early March. Pairing her with Eva Marie on Monday Night RAW would be something that could work for her. Niven is the type of solid worker who can have a quick TV match with anyone, perfect for a show like RAW.
Mercedes Martinez Is Overdue For A Call Up
Second name mentioned was Mercedes Martinez. An absolute legend of the independent circuit, Martinez has been wrestling since 2000 and has won championships just about everywhere she’s been. We almost saw her as part of Retribution, but she never ended up joining Mia Yim as female representative.
Lately, Martinez has been in a feud with Xia Li which will end at NXT Takeover: In Your House II. She challenged for the NXT Women’s Championship, but failed to beat Raquel Gonzalez. Martinez as the client of Eva Marie would be perfect. They’d make a great odd couple duo, with Martinez being one of the best wrestlers on the roster and Marie being a heat magnet from fans both in person and online.
Either choice would be much better than Eva Marie entering the ring again. Her last gimmick in WWE was based around her not actually wrestling, and that is because she never was able to figure it out in the ring. Who would you like to see as a client for Eva Marie?
