Samoa Joe has had a rollercoaster of a journey through the last couple of years. Going from Raw commentator, who stood in the rain at Wrestlemania. Then rehired by Triple H on the spot to come back to NXT.
It is not much of a surprise seeing Samoa Joe back in NXT as he was one of the wrestlers who built NXT. The big surprise is that he has gone from being fired to General Manager, Talent Scout and on his road to his in-ring return. It is one of the biggest WWE releases.
Recent Interview
In a recent interview, Samoa Joe recently appeared on Ryan Satin’s out of character podcast, saying that he is on the road to being cleared to make his in-ring return in the future. That his new contract with NXT included in-ring matches.
Making it looks like Samoa Joe is fighting his way back into the ring. Samoa Joe has already teased many matches in NXT, including matches against Karion Kross, Adam Cole and Pete Dunn.
Who should be Samoa Joe’s first match back?
Since the days of Samoa Joe and Finn Balor being top NXT Wrestlers. There is a lot of new amazing talent. A Finn Balor and Samoa Joe rematch would be great, but not as the first match. The first match for Joe should be against Tommaso Ciampa.
Someone in the roster who can easily take a loss but not be hurt by it and is a bell to bell amazing member of the roster who will most likely be in the main event at some point in the future.
