We haven’t seen Edge and Bray Wyatt since WrestleMania and the following Raw respectively, but it appears both are going to be making a return shortly.
It’s not clear why they both dropped off of the shows for a while, but there has been speculation for Bray Wyatt as he was reportedly dealing with John Huber’s (Brodie Lee in AEW, Luke Harper in WWE) death.
It’s also been rumored that Edge would be returning for SummerSlam as the WWE is going all out to make it as big or bigger than WrestleMania.
Returning star power
Our wait may be over, according to reports by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, The Fiend was advertised for the August 9 episode of Raw, while Edge was promoted to appear on the September 3 episode of Smackdown.

It looks like the WWE is trying to bring out their big guns for their return to live shows, and they couldn’t have picked two bigger fan favorites.
Since his return at last year’s Royal Rumble, Edge has cut some amazing promos and has been in some of the best matches and angles in years.
His last one being with Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan for the Universal Championship that concluded at WrestleMania.
Bray Wyatt was arguably the most popular WWE Superstar since the advent of the Fiend as fans’ cheers drowned out anything else during his entrances and their boos would rain down when he was beaten down.
Of course, he ran into some bad booking as it was rumored that Vince McMahon didn’t understand the character and tried to treat it like a legitimate horror movie villain.
Hopeful returns
Despite both superstars being gone for a few months, it’ll be great to see them back in action and we’re equally excited/hopeful that they’re doing well.
The WWE has been losing viewers for months with their horrendous storylines and gimmick matches upon gimmick matches, and it’s hoped they’ll actually listen to fans now that we’ll be in attendance.
It won’t be a controlled environment like the ThunderDome, though we do remember hearing deafening cheers during live events before the shutdown, but the fans at ringside looked bored and quiet.
Still, we hope they have a turn around and we get some consistent and quality storytelling as it’ll take more than two returning fan favorites to help boost the WWE.
We’re crossing our fingers, but like many others we can’t wait. What do you think of Edge and Bray Wyatt’s return? Let us know in the comments below.
