Former two time NXT Women’s Champion and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions has never faced anything quite as unique as Alexa Bliss and her friend Lily. After being corrupted by ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt, Bliss has become more uncontrollable than ever before, with the doll Lily being special to Bliss. So when Baszler stomped Lilly out and called her a stupid doll, Bliss got angry. Tonight, they clash on PPV, in what should be a unique encounter to say the least.
Alexa Bliss Controls Everyone In This Match
Baszler had Jax & Reginald in her corner, while Bliss came alone. Bliss would be trying to avoid locking up with Baszler, before being caught off guard by Reginald hopping onto the apron. Baszler drive Bliss into the corner, but Bliss laughed off the attack and nailed a big elbow strike and a leg kick before the double knee strike to the back. Bliss nailed a flip senton for a two count, before scaring Reginald who tried to run another distraction.
Baszler struck from behind with an elbow strike, before hitting a rising knee strike in the corner. On commentary, Corey Graves suggested someone calls in the Winchester Brothers, before Baszler hit a spinning side slam. Baszler would attack the arm of Bliss, but Bliss was again unaffected. Bliss would be trapped on the mat as Baszler abused her wrist control, before stomping the elbow directly.
Now, Bliss was feeling the pain, before she’d start laughing once again. Baszler would be asked to look at Bliss, and she obeyed and let go. Bliss fired up and hit a Thesz Press to take Baszler down. She’d spike Baszler with a DDT, and get a two count, before hitting a basement dropkick to send Baszler to the outside.
Nia Jax would lock eyes with Bliss, and seem to get hypnotized by her. Reginald tried to snap her out of it, and Jax slapped him into next week. Bliss & Jax would scream in unison, before Bliss nailed a twisting DDT on Baszler before Twisted Bliss for the win
This was a solid enough match until we got to the odd magic character of Bliss. She showed her in ring skills more than usual, but this was a confusing match to say the least, one that offers more questions than answers. However, they were smart enough to keep it short. Match Rating: 2/5 (**)
