Ever since Cesaro was able to defeat Seth Rollins at Wrestlemania 37, Rollins has been determined to get revenge. He’s been relentless, attacking Cesaro after he went 27 minutes with Reigns, and putting him out of action until now. Tonight, they clash once again in a one on one contest, and one that will likely be a lot more heated than their recent Wrestlemania encounter.
Cesaro Can’t Even Make It To The Ring
Before Cesaro could even make his entrance, Rollins would strike from being. They’d brawl into the ring with the referee trying to get them apart long enough to ring the bell. Rollins dove in and was caught by a slam from Cesaro, before being mounted and punched by Cesaro. Cesaro would send Rollins to the barricade with a big boot, but made the mistake of following him out.
Rollins briefly gained control before taking a running uppercut and being sent into the ring for a diving axe handle. Cesaro would take a flatliner into the turnbuckle, before having his eyes raked across the ropes. Rollins got an eye poke in while the referee tried to break them up, before nailing a DDT for a one count.
The pace was slowed down, as Rollins nailed some knee strikes before looking for a suplex. Cesaro easily countered into a suplex of his own, deadlifting Rollins and dropping him hard. Rollins took advantage when Cesaro slipped outside, hitting a diving knee strike off the apron.
Back in the ring, a springboard knee strike dropped Cesaro for a two count. Rollins would take a big uppercut, as they’d trade strikes in the ring, with Cesaro winning out. A modified Angle Slam would drop Rollins, before taking off the glove, shoving it in his mouth and nailing a Rainmaker for a two count.
Seth Rollins Takes Advantage Of An Opening
Cesaro kicked the glove away before taking a mid kick, but countered the curbstomp from Rollins with a crisp powerslam for a two count. Rollins would catch Cesaro on the top rope before he came off with a crossbody, but was hit with a headbutt. Cesaro came off the top, but Rollins rolled through into a pinfall for a two count.

He’d be powered up into a sidewalk slam, but Rollins countered into the Falcon Arrow. Cesaro powered out before hitting the Black Magic Kick for another near fall.
Rollins eyed Cesaro for the stomp, but took a discuss lariat which left both men laying. Cesaro tripped Rollins up and spun him around before applying the Sharpshooter. Rollins was dizzy and in the middle of the ring, and as he got close to the ropes, Cesaro switched into a crossface.
Cesaro switched back to the Sharpshooter, then grabbed the arm of Rollins and stomped it down. However, Cesaro wasted too much time punishing Rollins, and Cesaro got the Small Package for the win. A win is a win.
Cesaro & Rollins are two of the best wrestlers on the planet today, and they were given plenty of time to really show their skill sets tonight. Rollins was able to get the win, but this feud is far from over, as Cesaro still leads the rivalry. Just some great and heated action from both men. Match Rating: 4/5 (****)
