When he made his way back to NXT UK after losing the NXT Cruiserweight Championship, Jordan Devlin had a list of demands. Among them was a private dressing room at BT Sports Studio and a guest spot on the coveted talk show, Supernova Sessions. Last time he was around, he ended up in a match with Nathan Frazer, but now Dar has a lot more to talk about with Devlin.
Jordan Devlin Is The Franchise Player Of NXT UK
Dar started by celebrating the drop of his first WWE shirt, five year in the making. He encouraged everyone to buy one, so he gets his cut before calling Devlin to the ring. Devlin & Dar would hug it out, and Dar was excited to have a proper superstar on his show. Dar would comment on the style of Devlin, and give him a copy of his new t-shirt.
Devlin was a hard man to get on Supernova Sessions, with him travelling all over the world lately. However, Devlin is back in the UK because America sucks, something Dar agreed with fully. Dar would say that he expected Devlin to show up on this show as the NXT Cruiserweight Champion, but he knows “Santa Clause Escobar” was not the better man, simply because he could climb a ladder faster.
However, when Devlin goes back to the United States, he’s gonna go after Escobar and the NXT Cruiserweight Championship, currently held by KUSHIDA. Since Dar was in a giving mood, he’d offer the rest of the segment to Devlin, to give a Supernova Exclusive promo.
He’d say that he felt the sigh of relief everyone let out when they thought he was gone to the states. The franchise player of NXT UK is back, and if you want to take a shot at The Irish Ace, and have the guts to test yourself, he’s not hard to find. Dar would once again plug his shirt, and told them to play that funky music!
Nathan Frazer & Rohan Raja Go Back And Forth
Rohan Raja had a rough debut with NXT UK, nearly having his arm broken by the vicious Teoman. He was able to avoid major injury, and tonight gets into the ring with a prodigy of professional wrestling in Nathan Frazer. Frazer is the favorite to win, but is unlikely to try to injure Raja in the process.
Raja would send Frazer to the mat in a hurry, knowing to slow down a high flier. However, Frazer would set the pace after a slingblade, before missing a springboard attempt and running into a spinning sidewalk slam. Raja would whip Frazer across the ring with some fury, before taking him down to the mat.
Frazer got a near fall off a flash pinfall, before taking a big dropkick from Raja. Raja once again lost control of the faster Frazer, who hit a flying forearm shot after backflipping off the top rope. A swinging neckbreaker would set up a dive from the top rope, but Raja dodged the moonsault, until Fraser hit a standing moonsault for a two count,
Raja hit a pop up spinebuster, but Frazer kicked out at two and came back with a twisting suplex. The springboard moonsault was used to set up a reverse DDT, before he’d look for the Frog Splash. Raja tried to fight the attempt, but a headbutt sent him back to the mat, and Frazer nailed the dive for the win.
Some fast paced action from two rising stars in NXT UK, with Frazer being the clear star. Raja showed some solid agility and power, while Frazer continues to get more and more consistent and fluid in the ring. Match Rating: 2.5/5 (** 1/2)
