King Corbin found himself in interesting waters following the WWE’s latest batch of releases as he was the target of one fan’s opinion that he should’ve been released instead of Braun Strowman.
It’s not surprising that was at least on fan’s thought as Corbin isn’t well liked by many fans for whatever reasons, and emotions were running high when fans and superstars took to social media to share their thoughts, ranging from grief to complaints and to disappointment.
Corbin apparently saw the tweet, and responded with: “I’ll never understand this. What is wrong with you wanting someone else to be fired? Nobody should ever want some one to lose their job and livelihood.”
The tweet has since been deleted by Corbin, but it does bring up something that we’ve spoken about here and there.

A tough situation
Professional wrestling is a sport and spectacle that’s hard to describe to anyone and do it justice, and it also has some of the most hardcore fans around, so when things sometimes go sideways when the two cross paths.
Wrestlers put their lives and health on the line every time they step into the ring to entertain us. As with other sports, anything can happen at any time from a grip slipping to a mistimed move.
In an instant, things can go horribly wrong.
But when you add into the equation the human element where these people know each other outside the ring and often grow close friendships, it can be exceedingly hard if a friend is released.
We’re not saying this to excuse anyone for anything or implying friendships. It’s just something that happens and it could’ve been what Corbin was feeling.
And while we may become over excited as fans, they’re still performing for us and we wishing for someone to lose their job or get hurt because we don’t like them sends us down a dangerous slope.
An exchange of words
Exchanging words happens, and we’re sure Corbin got an earful following his tweet and may be part of the reason it was deleted.
It’s best for us to remember while they may play an easy to hate heel on television, they’re still people like us. So, let’s enjoy the shows and their efforts.
Corbin is one of the best heels in the business and deserves a huge push, so we have no doubt there’s going to be plenty of reasons to boo or cuss him out in the future.
But he is just playing a character, and we need to remember there’s a line we shouldn’t cross.
