Meghan Markle has reportedly been left angered by the Royals’ failure to make a public apology following her interview with Oprah on CBS.

Meghan Markle Was Angered After She Did Not Receive An Apology From The Royals

Meghan and Prince Harry shook the world with their revelations. Meghan, in particular, stated that members within the Royal family had raised concerns over her son, Archie’s skin colour. This was in addition to the statement that Meghan contemplated the thought of suicide.

And with public opinion siding with Meghan, at least in the USA, she felt that the Royals should have apologised for the whole ordeal. When speaking on the documentary ‘Meghan at 40’, Royal expert Tom Quinn remarked: “I think she was hoping for an apology, I think she was hoping they would phone and say, ‘We are really sorry, we now see that we pushed you too far.

“We should have behaved differently. We should have sat down as a family and discussed your mental health issues.” An apology never came, which is understandable for several reasons. First of all, Meghan dropped the interview during the time that the late Prince Philip was hospitalised.

And given that he went on to die, it left a bitter taste in the mouth of the Royals. Not only that, several members within the Royal circle felt that such issues should have been dealt with behind closed doors.

But this reaction from the Royals left Meghan feeling that they endorsed this type of conduct. Tom added: “I think she was horrified afterwards that the reaction was so negative from the family and they didn’t respond in the way that she wanted.”

This may explain why Meghan and Harry have continued to open up more about their experiences. Although it is going to damage any chance of reconciliation with the Royals, they had stressed that they were looking to leave the Royals for good.

And by renouncing their duties in 2020, they were able to speak freely on these matters. So it showed, as Harry has reportedly signed a four-book deal to detail his life in the Royal family. And there is no doubt that Meghan will feature heavily in it too.
