The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Big E) are a great tag team and they regularly put on good to great matches, and the WWE name then the best tag team of all time.
While we love them, we have to question the selection as it comes from the WWE (meaning Vince McMahon) and most likely it means the New Day are going to get a huge push shortly.
This will drum up interest for their run when fans return to shows in a couple of weeks and they’ll feud with the tag team champions, whomever they are at the time.
We aren’t saying they don’t belong in the list, far from it, but it’s important to keep in mind that over the last few years the tag team division has been derelict at best with a handful of regular teams.

Lack of competition
In short, it means the New Day haven’t had to face a bevy of opponents aside from the same ones aside from the occasional hodge-podge thrown together to see if they work.
This leads into odds and law of averages that would say they’ll win more championships if there are a few teams around.
It was a problem the WWE had in the early 1980s when they were rebuilding their tag team division.
Every week on Saturday Night’s Main Event we’d see the British Bulldogs face either the Dream Team (Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake) or Nicolai Volkoff and the Iron Sheik.
Very similar to the last few years and the coming and going of teams with the New Day and Usos being the only stalwarts.
Does this mean they shouldn’t be consider or aren’t the best? Not at all. It’s just some food for thought for the end of this article.
On thing in their favor is their record of holding the tag team championship for an incredible 483 days.
It’s impressive and can’t be taken away, and that’s a great argument for them being considered among the best.
