Ever since she defeated Io Shirai to become the NXT Women’s Champion, Raquel Gonzalez has been absolutely unstoppable. She’s taken down all comers, from Toni Storm, Mercedes Martinez, Ember Moon, to most recently Xia Li. Tonight, she will look to address the NXT Women’s division and a lack of worthy challengers, when she might just have to look to her side, as Dakota Kai is still waiting.
Raquel Gonzalez Has Crushed The NXT Women’s Division
Kai & Gonzalez would make their way to the ring, and both grab microphones. Last week, Gonzalez crushed the most feared name in the NXT Women’s division that isn’t her, and now is wondering who will dare to step up next. She wants the challenges to keep coming.
Kai would say that 18 months ago, her new best friend debutted and became the most dominant force in NXT women’s division history. Better than Flair, Asuka, Shirai, Ripley, and Moon. She’s the best champion they’ve ever had, and they’d call out the division, asking who is woman enough to challenge her.
Dakota Kai No Longer Wants To Stay In The Shadows
Kai knows that as long as she has Gonzalez’s back, she’ll always be champion. Gonzalez would pose on the turnbuckle, and when she came down, she met the boot of the captain of Team Kick. Dakota Kai is no longer standing in the shadow of Gonzalez, and is going to destroy what she helped to create.
Kai would hold the NXT Women’s Championship up high, before heading up the ramp with the crowd chanting her name. Gonzalez looked hurt and betrayed, and there will be hell to pay come NXT Takeover 36. Dakota Kai has watched every match Gonzalez has had in NXT, studied every single win.
If there is anyone who can beat down and defeat Raquel Gonzalez, it’s Dakota Kai. This challenge isn’t official yet, but when this reaches the office of William Regal, we’ll have our second match for Takeover.
