    WWE Smackdown Results (7/9) – Shotzi and Nox Defeated Tamina and Natalya by Pinfall; Bianca Belair to Defend her Title Next Week Against Carmella, Liv Morgan Given Carmella’s MITB Spot; Money in the Bank Qualifying Match – Seth Rollins Defeated Cesaro by Pinfall via a Stomp

    WWE Smackdown Results returned as Tamina and Natalya were in the ring saying how they were told they’re facing a tag team that’s never been on Smackdown before.

    Shotzi and Nox came down in their mini tank. This should be interesting.

    Natalya started it off against Nox and a quick flurry of holds and reversals followed before Shotzi tagged in and they hit a double team hold and dropkick for a pin attempt.

    Shotzi hit an assisted cannonball for a pin attempt that Tamina broke up, and then tagged in.

    Tamina manhandled Shotzi with a splash, clothesline, and an elbow drop for a pair of pin attempts.

    Tamina knocked Nox off the apron but Nox broke up a pin attempt by Natalya and took out Tamina and Shotzi hit Natalya with a clothesline and then headed to the top rope where she hit a senton for the win.

    Sonya Deville’s decision

    Deville said she hoped she’d never have to make an announcement like this, and she said Bayley injured herself while training yesterday and will miss the next 9 months.

    Bayley had a prerecorded promo about her injury, and in true kayfabe style she blamed the fans for her injury and her replacement won’t be as good as her.

    Deville announced Belair won’t be defending the Women’s Smackdown Championship at MITB, but next Friday instead in front of a live audience against Carmella.

    Carmella came out and we’re waiting for Liv Morgan to come out and challenge her for the spot.

    She thanked Deville for this long overdue honor and Lib Morgan came out for her usually spiel the last couple of weeks.

    Morgan challenged Deville about how many times does she have to beat Carmella.

    Deville told her to shut up and said she was going to replace her in the MITB match and told her to get out of her ring before she changes her mind.

    Morgan told Carmella she hopes she wins so she can cash in the MITB contract on her.

    And Belair came out and said she’d gladly accept Carmella as her challenger, and said she doesn’t know if Bayley’s injury is real.

    If the injury is real she respects her competitive skills and looks forward to finishing their feud when she comes back.

    Money in the Bank Qualifying Match – Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro

    Kevin Owens was at the commentary table like Big E was earlier, and the match started off with Cesaro using a rear waist lock to control Rollins early on.

    Rollins rolled Cesaro up a couple of times for pin attempts, and Cesaro hit a shoulder block for a pin attempt.

    Cesaro caught Rollins and hit a backbreaker, and hit a crossbody off the top rope for a pin attempt and Rollins rolled out of the ring and tore apart the announce table while Owens mocked him.

    Back from commercial and they’re back in the ring and Cesaro clotheslined Rollins over the top rope and the announce desk was put back together.

    Rollins slammed Cesaro into the announce desk and then into the ring stairs before rolling him into the ring for a pin attempt.

    Rollins kept working on Cesaro and hit a knee drop for a pin attempt, and then hit a couple of knees in the ropes and slammed Cesaro down for a pin attempt.

    Rollins took offense at the ref backing him off of Cesaro, and Cesaro caught him with a series of uppercuts after his breather.

    Rollins caught Cesaro on the top rope and hit a superplex, but Cesaro powered him up on a following attempt and they suplexed each other over the top rope as we headed to commercial.

    Swinging times

    Returning from commercial, they’re back in the ring and Cesaro completed 12 swings on Rollins and he went for a sharpshooter but Rollins reached the ropes.

    They exchanged pin attempts and Rollins caught Cesaro with a forearm when he tried a corkscrew uppercut off the ropes.

    Rollins sent Cesaro into an exposed turnbuckle and Rollins kept trying pin combinations before Cesaro rolled to the floor, and Rollins went after him and bounced him off the barricade and announce desk.

    Rollins hit a forearm to the back of Cesaro’s head to send him to the floor again, and hit a DDT on the ramp before heading back into the ring and Cesaro barely beat the count.

    Cesaro fought off Rollins’ first stomp attempt but the second one nailed him for the win. This was a really good match and Cesaro came close, but WWE Smackdown Results can’t argue with the results.
