The Dark Order will not be getting a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships, but they still have a chance to take some gold from The Elite. Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson are in their second reign as Impact Wrestling Tag Team Championships, and tonight will put their gold on the line against Evil Uno & Stu Greyson. Will Dark Order branch out to Impact Wrestling with a win tonight?
Dark Order Strikes First
Greyson & Uno would start the fight before Good Brothers even hit the ring, with Anderson ending up in the ring. Uno would hit a dropkick following a Manhattan drop from Greyson. There was still no sign of Gallows, but Brandon Cutler would trip Uno off the apron. Colt Cabana punched him out, and Frankie Kazarian ran Culter down and dragged him to the back.
Gallows was finally back up, and would throw some heavy strikes to drop both Uno & Greyson. Anderson waited in the ring getting Uno with some stomps as he was thrown back in. Uno would be isolated in the Good Brothers corner, where Gallows squashed him with a back elbow, before a falling elbow drop.
Anderson would rake the eyes of Uno, before Gallows put his boot between his eyes. Uno was sent into a neutral corner, and Anderson would mouth off only to take a back elbow and a running hurricanrana. Greyson tagged in, and stepped off Anderson to hit a DDT on Gallows, before planting Anderson with a uranage and hitting a springboard corkscrew moonsault.
Gallows & Anderson Crush Championship Dreams
Gallows broke the pinfall up, and nearly got slammed by Greyson. Uno tagged in, and sent Gallows into the corner, before alongside Greyson they’d throw Anderson into his partner. A combo cannonball and 450 Splash only got a two count, before Dark Order looked for The Fatality. Anderson was saved, before they looked for the Magic Killer.
Another attempt at Fatality was dashed by Gallows crotching Greyson on the top rope, before Anderson hit a Gun Stun on Uno. One Magic Killer to Greyson, and this one was over. No gold for Dark Order on this day.
A solid enough tag team match, with some insane spots from Stu Greyson, some solid wrestling from Karl Anderson, and Gallows didn’t stink things up too much. Match Rating: 2.75/5 (** 3/4)
