‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to close the week out with some fun spoilery goodies to help get us set for next week.
Despite one of the storyline being mundane and even repetitive they do look like they’re going to be interesting down the road as they’ll plant seeds for future storylines.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, August 13: Victor wants to know Ashland’s intentions
It was bound to happen at some point as Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) isn’t they type to not gather as much information and be a good father when someone new is introduced.

So, after hearing about Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Ashland Locke (Richard Burghi)’s engagement, Victor’s going to want to have the typical father-future son-in-law talk.
He’s going to want to know everything he can about Ashland’s mindset and what he intends with Victoria.
Sure, he’s happy she found someone he feels is worthy of her, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to sign off on their marriage until he’s fully convinced Ashland doesn’t have anything nefarious planned.
That may involve some snooping and digging into Ashland’s private life, but Victor won’t leave a stone unturned.
This should be a fun scene ass these two going back and forth is always promising, and we’re curious if they’ll antagonize each other or get along for the time being.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, August 13: Rey’s requested
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers enjoyed having a few weeks where we didn’t see the same topic broached a handful of times.
In this case, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will be asked to help find Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) by Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).
He was already asked that when it came to trying to track her, and now Sharon will go all in on getting him to do it in depth.
But ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers think this is about more than just finding Mariah, especially since Victor recently offered him a job at Newman Media.
We think this will be the jumpstart for Rey to go into business for himself as a private investigator. He’s got the skills for it and it’ll open up new storylines for him where he can really shine.
There’s plenty of room in this storyline for him to grow some more and even come out the hero, which will help boost him to go out on his own.
