With Emergence in the rearview mirror, Impact Wrestling Preview is set to dive into the fallout coming out way tonight.
With plenty of fun matches scheduled, we also get to see the Impact tag titles defended as the Good Brothers take on Rich Swann and Willie Mack, and a couple of possible surprises as we begin heading for Victory Road.
Let’s not waste any time and dive on in.

Before The Impact (BTI) – Steve Macklin’s Open Challenge
The action will get started when Steve Macklin issues an open challenge on BTI.
He defeated Petey Williams in a hard fought match at Emergence and will look to continue his undefeated steak tonight, and the question is who will come out?
With Trey Miguel in a feud with Mathew Rehwoldt at the moment, we expect this to be a young star looking to make a break for himself by facing off with the Master of Mayhem.
This should be an interesting match no matter who accepts Macklin’s challenge.
Christian Cage celebrates and sets the stage for Victory Road
After defeated Brian Myers in an awesome throwback type of match at Emergence to keep the Impact World Championship, Christian will be in the Impact Zone tonight as he turns his focus to his next competitor.
Ace Austin won the four way #1 contenders match at Emergence and he’s going to set his sights on the grandest title in the land, and with Madman Fulton at his side this is going to make things really interesting.
This should be a good back and forth as they set the stage and we’ll probably see some quick action as Austin and Fulton attempt to send a message, but Christian will be ready for them.
3 on 1 Handicap Match – The Influence (Madison Rayne, Tenille Dashwood, Kaleb with a K) vs. Taylor Wilde
Madison Rayne defeated Taylor Wilde in her return at Emergence with some help from Kaleb and Tenille Dashwood.
For reasons we can only assume mean she has help somewhere, Taylor accepted a 3 on 1 handicap match against The Influence.
If anyone can beat those odds it’s Taylor Wilde, but this doesn’t look good and we think she’s going to lose in a brutal way if she doesn’t have some form of help.
David Finlay w/Juice Robinson vs. Chris Bey w/Jay White
David Finlay is sure Chris Bey attacked his partner Juice Robinson backstage last week, and after his loss to Jay White at NJPW Resurgence, Finlay’s going to look to even the score.
While Robinson and Jay aren’t advertised as being in the Impact Zone, we’ll be surprised if they don’t pop up at some point during this match, and if that happens we think Finlay will pull out the win.
We just have a feeling that Robinson will strike at the right time and Finlay could tap into his father’s temperament just a bit to take advantage of the situation.
If there’s no interference, we think it’ll be a tossup and probably end with a DQ or something along those lines.
Chris Sabin vs. Sami Callihan
Sabin and Callihan were a successful tag team last week, and then Callihan dropped him with a piledriver after the bell for stealing the pin. Or because it’s what Callihan does.
Honestly, did anyone expect differently given they would face each other in the four way #1 contenders match at Emergence?
The plus side to it is we’re going to get Sabin and Callihan one on one and this could be the match of the night if they let it all hang out.
Sabin’s showed his toughness over the years and he may be able to hang with the Death Machine blow for blow, but will he be able to out maneuver Callihan’s dirty tricks? We’ll see.
We’re going with Sabin winning this because we think he’s due and this will really spice things up in Impact Wrestling.
Impact Tag Team Championship – The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows) (c) vs. Rich Swann and Willie Mack
After finding a way to retain their titles in the three way tag championship at Emergence, the Good Brothers were ready to embark on a new chapter but that’s not in the cards yet.
After the match, Rich Swann and Willie Mack pointed out they weren’t pinned by the Good Brothers and therefore deserve another shot one on one and their wish was granted.
This should prove interesting and make both teams enemies of Violent By Design since Swann and Mack managed to entwine themselves in VBD’s rematch clause.
We expect this to be a great match to close the night out, but we also think it’s going to end in No Contest when VDB attacks both teams.
If there’s no attack, we’d love to see Swann and Mack win but we don’t see the Good Brothers’ reign ending just yet.
