Tag Team Turbulence saw the return of Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson to NJPW, and they were able to win this tournament. However, Jon Moxley has been looking for a chance to fight them again after everything they’ve put him through alongside The Elite in AEW. So he called them out for a match, with a mystery partner ready to raise some hell with Moxley tonight for a special tag team clash. Turns out, his special friend was BLUE JUSTICE, Yuji Nagata! They clashed in AEW, and earned some serious respect.
Jon Moxley & Yuji Nagata Bring The Fight
Moxley would start with Anderson, dropping him with a shoulder tackle. Anderson slipped out of a scoop slam before being dropped by a chop. He’d absorb a headbutt from Moxley, before being sent running to the outside. Gallows was tagged in, and Moxley would easily out wrestle him, forcing Gallows to rely on some heavy hitting strikes.
Nagata would tag in to show Gallows a thing or two about being hard hitting. The leg kicks from Nagata could cut down even the biggest of men, and four was all it took to take Gallows down. He’d fight back to his feet and hit a big boot, before nailing a throat thrust on Moxley to send him off the apron. Gallows would control the ring, as someone nearby the arena shot off fireworks.
Working past the distraction, Good Brothers would isolate Nagata in their corner and work the legend down. Gallows applied a sleeper hold, but Nagata was able to fight free. Nagata got the tag to Moxley who started raising hell and throwing steel chairs at Gallows & Anderson. He caught Gallows right in the face before hitting a German Suplex in the ring on Anderson.
Good Brothers Pick Off Their Opponents
Gallows would use his size to try to stop himself from being thrown, but Moxley got him anyways before throwing Anderson down. Bulldog choke was applied, and Moxley used it to pull him to his feet and nail a piledriver for a two count. Moxley looked for the Death Rider, but Gallows made the save. Nagata was tagged in and went after Anderson with some big kicks before an exploder suplex on Gallows.
He’d look for Nagata Lock II on Anderson, while Moxley isolated Gallows, but Anderson slipped free. They’d trade blows in the ring, before Anderson dropped Nagata and joined Gallows for a Magic Killer through a chair on the outside to Moxley. Nagata was left alone in the ring, but fought off the Magic Killer with some kicks, but took a Gun Stun from Anderson. Magic Killer followed, and this one was done.
A fun surprise in Nagata really helped this fairly average match. Good Brothers wrestled their average match, Moxley got some good blows in, and Nagata looked as timeless as ever. Match Rating: 2.5/5 (** 1/2)
After the match, a promo from Good Brothers would be cut off by Guerillas of Destiny, who were here to confront the team they replaced as Bullet Clubs tag team aces. They’ve won more belts than Good Brothers, and now are looking to one-up them again. G.O.D would bait Good Brothers to take the first shot, starting off The Elite vs. Bullet Club, but Gallows & Anderson chose to leave.
