Kate Middleton and Queen Elizabeth II have more than just the Royal family in common.
Kate Middleton And Queen Elizabeth II Love Photography
It turns out that the pair have a shared passion for photography. Expecting Kate to have such an interest is to be expected, given that she is very photogenic. But the same may not have been thought of when it comes to the Queen given her insistence on Royal duties.
But beneath the surface is a different story, as the duo often take time out to enjoy this interest. In a post on the Royal Family’s Twitter, we can see several pictures of the Queen getting ready to take a photo.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “This #WorldPhotographyDay, here are a few moments where The Queen has been pictured behind the lens.”
Kate, for her part, is also known for taking pictures. And her children have become at the heart of what she does. A quick look at Kate and Prince William’s social media activity tells you everything you need to know.
There are several pictures of the family, and by the looks of it, Kate is in charge of the camera. In a prior interview with photographer Ceri A. Edwards, Kate stated: “Everyone’s like, ‘Mummy, please stop taking photographs!”
Despite her fondness for taking family pictures, Kate has also been making use of her talent during the pandemic. This was seen sometime last year, as she announced a new photo initiative that was designed to allow people to share their experiences and stories during the pandemic.
The stories were often sad but also included those which offered hope. In an interview with This Morning at the time, she revealed: “I really hope that through a project like this, we might be able to showcase some of those stories and to document and share a moment in time, I suppose, that we’re all experiencing.”
It is wonderful to see Kate and The Queen bonding over something they can use to make a difference in so many people’s lives. And it is also something that Kate, as well as the other Royals, can pass down on to the next generation.
