It’s time for more action from the always impressive Ring Of Honor. This week had a three match card, with two more quarter final matches in the ROH Women’s World Title Tournament. We’d also see Dragon Lee put the ROH World Television Championship on the line against Eli Isom.
Angelina Love & Trish Adora Push Forward
The first match of the night was a complete clash of styles. On one side, we have the monstrous Max The Impaler, who got here by smashing Holidead in the first round. Their opponent is Angelina Love, who was able to get a first round bye – and was seemingly terrified of Max. This carried over into their match, where Love would do everything to pick away at Max, baiting them into applying a sleeper over the top rope and getting DQ’d. Love will now face Rok-C next week.
Second match of tournament action would be Trish Adora vs. Allysin Kay. The pre-match build was around which lady could nail their signature lariat first, which was prophetic in a way. It was a much more cleanly fought match from both competitors, compared to the openers, but after nearly 14 minutes, Adora nailed Lariat Tubman to push to the semi-finals. Adora will now face Miranda Alize next week.
Eli Isom Takes Dragon Lee To His Limits
We also had a major championship bout on this show, with Dragon Lee putting the ROH World Television championship on the line. Finally free of Tony Deppen, he was able to face someone fresh – this being the always impressive Eli Isom. It was a hard fought back and forth battle, with Isom really showing that he can go at a champions level. However, the Incinerator Knee Strike would be used by Lee to get the win after 12 minutes. Isom & Lee shook hands after the bell, with Lee being impressed.
Next week’s matches will be the two previously mentioned ROH Women’s World Title Tournament Semifinal matches of Angelina Love vs. Rok-C & Miranda Alize vs. Trish Adora. We’re also set to see Shane Taylor Promotions take on La Faccion Ingobernable in six man tag team action. Who can you see moving to the finals in the ROH Women’s World Title Tournament finals?
