Right now in WWE NXT, it’s hard to deny that The Way has been one of the best parts of the show over the past year. When they added Austin Theory & Indi Hartwell into the mix, some of the funniest moments in brand history followed, alongside some great matches. However, Candice LeRae has been absent from the ring as of late, and we now know the reason why.
The Gargano Family Is Growing, Candice LeRae Is Pregnant
Announced by Gargano on Twitter, he & LeRae are now expecting their first child. The tweet said the following “The secret’s out! Our team is getting a little bigger.. The best is on the way!” with a picture saying Baby Wrestling coming February 2022. They are the latest wrestlers to announce a child on the way. Hangman Page, Jon Moxley, Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch, and Lacey Evans others have all recently either announced, had, or have been preparing for a baby.
This will keep LeRae out of the ring for at least the next year, which is understandable given the circumstances. Even someone as insane in the ring as her wouldn’t risk their child in a wrestling match. As of right now, her final match in NXT was the Street Fight which saw her & Hartwell lose the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships.
Johnny Gargano Is Likely To Stick Around In NXT
Even with the recent changes to NXT, we can expect names like Johnny Gargano & Candice LeRae to stick around. There has been some fear from fans that they’d be released, but so long as Triple H is around, his chosen names will likely be safe. Gargano is a very important member of the NXT roster, constantly able to adapt and reinvent himself, while having a very consistent level of match quality.
Having someone like him is important to help push talent to the next level in the ring. LeRae fits the same role in that she has been one of the best in-ring since making her debut for NXT. However, it’s unclear if she will keep wrestling after becoming a mom, as not everyone will.
