    WWE Smackdown Results (8/13) – Kevin Owens Defeated Baron Corbin by Pinfall; Sasha Banks Sends Statement to Bianca Belair at Contract Signing

    WWE Smackdown Results returned as Baron Corbin came out to the ring for a final plea, and he said if things don’t turn around quickly he’ll have to file bankruptcy.

    He criticized everyone for laughing at him, and because of that this will be his final plea. He even had a credit card scanner on his phone for people to donate, and Kevin Owens came out.

    Corbin said he knows he’s there to help, and Owens told him he’s not there for that and this needs to stop.

    He thought Corbin wanted to help himself, but he’s trying to use people’s sympathies to his advantage and he listed his last couple of weeks and the stuff he tried.

    Owens said he’ll give him $1000 but Corbin’s got to beat him in a match right now. But if Corbin loses, he stops begging people for help and he helps himself.

    Corbin insulted him and Owens hit a stunner.

    Kevin Owens vs. Baron Corbin

    Corbin tried to roll Owens up for a quick win, and then another rollup, but Owens kicked out and hit a chop, clothesline, and senton for a pin attempt.

    Corbin slid out of the ring and rounded the corner but ate a superkick and a cannonball for a near pinfall.

    Corbin caught Owens on the top rope, and then nailed Owens with a right when Owens tried to leap over the top rope.

    Owens reentered the ring and hammered away on Owens for a pin attempt, and then tried to suplex him on the apron.

    Owens fought out of it and went for a piledriver, but Corbin countered with a backdrop onto the apron as we headed to commercial.

    Back from the break, they’re back in the ring and Corbin caught Owens on the top rope with a right and went for a suplerplex, but Owens fought out of it.

    Owens then hit a senton bomb for a near pinfall. Corbin returned the favor when he caught Owens with a chokeslam for a near pinfall.

    Owens then ran into a Deep Six but Owens kicked out and two more times and Corbin was close to breaking.

    Corbin blocked a stunner but was rolled up with a sunset flip for the win.

    This was a pretty good match, and Corbin can’t beg anymore. Owens hit another stunner for good measure.

    Backstage, Kayla Braxton asked Corbin what now, and he grabbed Big E’s MITB contract and ran off.

    Banks’ statement

    After opening the segment, Sonya Deville introduced Sasha Banks, then Bianca Belair.

    Once they were seated at the table, Belair asked Banks if she was ready or if she was going to run away or stab her in the back again.

    She added she should’ve known Banks would betray her, and if she wanted a rematch all she had to ask.

    Banks mocked her for being dumb enough to think she was going to be her best friend.

    Deville took control and told them to sign the contract.

    Banks paused because she wanted witnesses for the signing, so Carmella and Zelina Vega came out.

    Banks signed as cocky as possible, and the Belair did and she took out Banks’ cohorts and went after Banks.

    Belair threw Carmella to the floor and Banks hit a Backstabber. Carmella and Vega pounded away on Belair. Banks put her on the table and pounded her into the table before she stood over Belair with the belt.

    She locked in a Bank Statement with Belair’s hair as the show ended.

    This was a pretty cool ending and it set up their match to be a good one with grudges on both sides.
