Since becoming the TNT Champion, Miro has been claiming to be God’s Favorite Champion. He’s defeated the likes of Dante Martin, Lance Archer, Fuego Del Sol, and Evil Uno. However, Eddie Kingston knows the weakness of Miro. His neck is the chink in his armour, and Kingston knows many ways to attack the neck. He dropped him on Rampage with a DDT, and it could be the same result tonight at All Out.
Miro Introduces Kingston To The Ring Post
Kingston had no fear in his eyes as he stared Miro down. The crowd would be fully behind Kingston, with a Redeem Deez Nuts chant. Kingston blocked a single leg takedown before being tripped up, before avoiding the Game Over. Miro would have to avoid a Half & Half Suplex, but couldn’t avoid a poke to the eye or some chops.
The exploder suplex sent Miro rolling to the outside, and Kingston would follow him. Miro got a forearm strike, before crushing Kingston into the barricade and kicking him in the face. A running kick to the jaw from Kingston was the return shot, before Kingston dove off the apron and caught with a powerslam.
Miro would grab Kingston and run him into the ringpost back first. Back in the ring, Kingston would have his hands bitten, before being choked on the ropes. Kingston would fire up and pepper Miro with shots, before being dropped with a single hard forearm. Miro would take some time to soak in the fans before charging Kingston in the corner, where Kingston hit some chops.
Eddie Kingston Gets Screwed
Miro would take the Kawada-style jumping enziguri, before being sent to the floor. Kingston went for a dive, but took a forearm. Miro would try to take advantage, but took a backdrop driver. Kingston would smile as Miro fired off shots, and come back with chops to the neck before another two backdrops for a two count.
The uraken was ready to go, but Miro slipped outside – where Kingston dove onto him with the elbow suicide dive. In the ring, Kingston would hit the Fisherman Suplex for a two count. Miro would go after the back with some forearms before looking for a German Suplex. In his struggle to block, Kingston exposed a turnbuckle.
Miro would kick Kingston in the face and apply the Game Over, but Kingston would fight his way to the ropes. No one has survived the Game Over in AEW, but Kingston did before hitting the Uraken and the DDT. The referee was busy with the turnbuckle and missed what was a three count. Kingston had to keep going, and looked for a piledriver, but Miro would fight this. Miro would get a mule kick down low on Kingston outside the referees view before a running kick for the win.
A hard hitting and well thought out match. Kingston targeted the neck, and Miro tried to protect it and overpower Kingston. They’re both fantastic, and you can’t go wrong with an Eddie Kingston match. Miro had to cheat to win, his closest to losing in AEW. Match Rating: 3.5/5 (*** 1/2)
