Tonight Jade Cargill had an open challenge, and it was accepted by KiLynn King. Earlier in the night, Matt Hardy & Mark Sterling would interrupt her. Sterling would announce that he’s the manager of Cargill, and if he doesn’t leave her alone? Hardy would get a restraining order. He only gets paid when Cargill wins, will Sterling get a payday tonight?
Jade Cargill Stomps KiLynn King
KiLynn King is a close physical match for Cargill at a glance, and has an experience edge. Cargill is 5-0, but King is on a win streak as well. They’d lock up in the middle of the ring, and Cargill seemingly won out before hitting a lariat. King went for a crossbody, and Cargill caught and curled her before slamming her to the mat.
Cargill took some time to showboat, and got hit with a dropkick for her troubles, before nailing King with a spinebuster and some mounted punches. King would get choked in the corner, being overwhelmed by Cargill. A chinlock in the middle of the ring was followed by a suplex.
King would be dumped over the top rope, and prevented from entering the ring again with a forearm shot. Cargill pulled King back into the ring, and dropped her with Jaded for the win. A perfect 6-0 record is promising.
Considering this was only the 6th match of Cargill, it was good. Nothing to write home about, but a solid performance from both ladies here but incredibly slow paced. Match Rating: 1.75/5 (* 3/4)
Miro Runs Through Dante Martin
At Double Or Nothing, we are currently scheduled to see Miro defend the TNT Championship against Lance Archer. This is a match that could very well steal the show, but there is one man who can theoretically stop it. Miro will make his first defense of the TNT Championship tonight on Dynamite, as he takes on one half of Top Flight, and one of AEW’s youngest roster members: Dante Martin.
If Martin is able to do what no one else has been able to do in AEW and actually pin or submit Miro, he will have a date with the Murderhawk Monster on Sunday. Archer doesn’t want Martin on Sunday, and he likely won’t get it. As the bell rang, Martin looked concerned as the crowd chanted ‘Miros gonna kill you.’
Miro would pummel Martin into the corner before dumping him across the ring with a suplex. A hard kick to the spine was met with a ‘one more time’ chant, and faked Martin out with a second before taking a jawbreaker. Miro would be caught with some quick strikes and a springboard moonsault from Martin for a one count.
Martin was thrown to the outside but landed on his feet, and sprung back into the ring with a front dropkick. Miro kicked out at one again, before being dumped into the ring with a suplex. A running thrust kick, Game Over applied, and this was over.
This was a pure squash match, and helped make Miro look like a beast ahead of his match with Archer. It got its point across, but was barely a match. Match Rating: 1/5 (*)
Archer hit the ring after the match, and would drop Miro with a big boot before sending him out of the ring. Will Miro get defense #2 at Double Or Nothing, or will Lance Archer be the match of Miro? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
