Over the last few weeks, more and more rumors have come out about for WWE Superstar Braun Strowman going to Impact Wrestling in time for their Bound For Glory Pay-per-view.
This may seem farfetched given how much he was making in the WWE and reportedly demanded for appearances at shows, but it may have more basis in reality than we think.
We had a false alarm last week when George Iceman mentioned seeing a giant backstage and it seemed that it could’ve been Strowman. It wasn’t, but Impact Wrestling has been landing some giants lately so it’s a definite possibility.
Braun For Glory
A few weeks back, Scott D’Amore mentioned that Buddy Murphy would debut that night, and then threw out the term Braun For Glory while at a baseball game with Iceman, Josh Alexander, and Alexander’s wife Jade Chung, who recorded it and we reported on it here.
While it’s just a rumor, it’s been gaining steam on social media with various outlets saying they believe it’s going to happen or is likely to happen.
The latest reports are that Adam Scherr (Strowman) is in talks with Impact Wrestling, and is expected to sign.
What will this mean for the company?
For starters, it’ll give them another giant that has main event experience as a former WWE Champion, and he has so much to bring to the ring.
Prove them wrong
Especially the desire to prove himself.
While he’s been nothing but grateful publicly to the WWE for the chance they gave him, we wouldn’t be surprised that there’s a part of him that wants to prove releasing him is a mistake.
This is purely our opinion, but it’s something we’ve seen in other sports because being released or fired is never easy. So it makes sense that he’ll want to demonstrate how big a mistake it was.
But more than that, he’ll have the chance to help life Impact Wrestling to greater heights and work with AEW, New Japan, and other promotions as Impact has an open door policy at the moment.
They and AEW have resurrected a version of the old territory system, and Strowman could travel the world and really stake his claim as one of the greats if he’s interested in that.
The potential he has to be free to work with other companies and countless stars is just one thing we’re hoping to see happen if he signs with Impact. We also would love to see him face off with Moose and Fulton at some point.
What do you think? Will it be Braun For Glory this year of is D’Amore trolling us?
