‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that it looks like Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) is having second doubts about being a surrogate for Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), especially after the strong bond she made with the baby while being locked away in the room by Ben Rayburn (Sean Carrigan).
Viewers had already thought this was going to happen but seeing it happen before our eyes feel completely different. To make things worse, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is also having doubts about his role in the baby’s life!

Fans reacted to Mariah not wanting to give up the baby, “Abby didn’t know the nurse gave the baby to Mariah, but you could see she wants the baby! Devon is proudly aware he is a biological father.”, “And this is why it’s recommended to get a surrogate that already has children though even then that’s not a guarantee. I feel for Mariah”, “Oh no its going to be a baby war between abby and mariah”, “We all saw this coming”, “Here we go.”, and “That’s why you don’t have a friend as a surrogate, you chose a woman who has kids and can detach herself from the situation and write a contract. This is about to get so messy for Abby and Mariah.”
It looks like there’s still a long road ahead of us as we deal with Mariah’s struggles and what it does to not only her, but the baby also. Is there a possibility that we could see Mariah snap and kidnap the baby for herself? It would be an ironic twist of fate as she’s demonized Ben Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) for what he did (as she should).
