It is being reported by multiple sources that after the Bound for Glory PPV. The partnership between AEW and Impact will be coming to an end. This makes sense since the Good Brothers have disappeared from AEW and Christian Cage lost the belt to Josh Alexander at the PPV. There is no confirmed information on why this is happening, but it’s currently looking like the forbidden door closing between AEW and Impact.
No More Dream Matches…
It seems like a very weird time for the relationship between Impact and AEW to end. With it looking likely that the door would open wider, but it looks like. Instead, it’s closing a lot of dream matches don’t seem likely.
One that has been recently suggested is Britt Baker and Deonna Purrazzo, but now that this partnership is over, we won’t see that happen. We didn’t get many feuds through this, but at the moment, the current information doesn’t suggest that we can’t see more crossovers in the future through a new partnership.
NJPW Seems to be still going strong
AEW is still having regular crossovers with NJPW, AAA and MLW. FTR are the current AAA tag team champions. Bobby Fish is currently in the a MLW tournament, and Jon Moxley appearing on NJPW on a regular occasions. It’s looking likely that NJPW relationships will grow over time. When the travel restrictions are completely lifted, this forbidden door will be taken off its hinges.
