All this is usually found on Eric’s Podcast. However, all these recent comments on AEW were originally very surprising because Eric appeared on AEW multiple times. These comments feel pretty out of place, but looking back at how WCW ended and Eric’s comments. Could it be possible that Eric Bishof is jealous of the quick success of AEW?
Why is Eric Bischoff jealous?
There are certain moments in WCW’s history that show where they went wrong. One of them is the fact that WCW basically told them to turn to WWE and watch Mankind win the belt. This and the poke of doom are usually the ones people speak about when speaking about the fall of WCW. Eric Bischoff. The fact that AEW is looking to be what WCW dreamed of makes Eric Bishof slightly jealous. Some may say that AEW and WWE aren’t like WWE and WCW due to them not going head to head on time slots.
Looking at that juice now, it seems like it’s really a better idea. Tony Khan has gone on record saying that he won’t make the mistakes that WCW has done. That was one of them. The fact that AEW are one of the biggest companies in wrestling in the span of two years, with massive room to grow after the failure of WCW. It looks like Eric is jealous as he thought that WCW was one of a kind, but we have seen it again.
Will we see Eric Bischoff return to AEW?
It feels like the relationship might have soured from both sides here. Unless it’s all work and in wrestling, you never really truly know. Tony Khan has said that he was shocked by Eric’s comments. Tony Khan has since reacted to his comments to defend himself, maybe souring the relationship between the two.
