The Royal family have been accused of not being relatable to the public, but this step was seen as a way to bridge that gap. This also follows the recent decision of William and Kate Middleton to launch their Youtube channel.
With so much anticipation building, the questions that were coming for William varied in nature. One fan had asked William: “Are unicorns were real,” to which he replied: “Well, I think if you talk my daughter, she’d say they were real.
“Obviously, it’s a trade secret, so I can’t possibly comment.” But learning about William’s children was not the only thing. It turns out that William does have an extensive range of languages at his disposal.
Although it is not clear whether he is fluent in another language, it is vital given that the Royal family has such a global reach. That is only going to broaden their appeal.
Another fan stated: “Puedes hablar español?” (Can you speak Spanish?) to which responded: “Sí, un poquito” (Yes, a little).”
Although this was a huge step, the session did miss out on some of the most pertinent things that fans will have wanted to know. That being, William’s relationship with Prince Harry.
While it was unlikely for a fan to be allowed to ask this type of question, it is the only thing that is going to make the Royal family connect more with the public.
If these divisions go on, then the disconnect will continue. Sources have confirmed as much: ”Harry felt William wasn’t rolling out the red carpet for Meghan and told him so.
“They had a bit of a fallout, which was only resolved when Charles stepped in and asked William to make an effort.” This move was a brave step by William, and we can expect there to be many more in this regard.
But whether it does have the impact of making the Royal family more popular is anyone’s guess. Time will tell how the Royals will be viewed in the future.
