Queen Elizabeth II is certain that Kate Middleton will be ready to lead the monarchy at some point in the future based on how well she has done so far.

That is according to Royal expert Joe Little. The Queen is not getting any younger, which is why a clear succession plan must be put in place.
This has already begun to take form in the background as Prince William has taken on more of a leadership role following the death of Prince Philip and Prince Harry’s departure from the Royal family.
Much in the same way, Kate is already primed to do the same once the Queen is no longer here. In an interview with Us Weekly, Joe confirmed how confident the Queen is in Kate’s abilities.
He said: “The Queen very much regards Catherine as … a safe pair of hands. She’s been a member of the royal family for ten years now.
“I think, given that all that’s going on in the past few years in the royal family in terms of the fallouts. … The Queen has great trust in Kate.”
One of the reasons why the Queen trusts Kate is because of the manner in which she has adjusted to the Royal family. Unlike Meghan Markle, who struggled to cope with the demands of the institution, Kate has managed to resonate with the public so well.
So much so that she is now known for the charitable work that she regularly undertakes. Joe added: “Kate has found her own niche within the royal family.
“And she focuses on things that mean a great deal to her that she feels that she can give something to the charity … in a great way.”
And with so much uncertainty still to come, particularly due to Harry’s new memoirs that are going to be released, the Queen will want to know who she can trust. In William and Kate, she has those people.
Joe’s following comments confirmed as much: “More than anything, knowing she can rely on Kate and Prince William to handle matters in her absence is the greatest comfort she [Queen] could ask for.”
