Prince Philip may no longer be here, but that does not mean that the Royals have not continued to remember him.
Queen Elizabeth II Remembers Her ‘Happy Memories’ With Prince Phillip
Philip, for his part, passed away at the age of 99, which left a massive void in the monarchy. Subsequently, the duties were firmly thrust upon Queen Elizabeth II as a central focal point.
While it has been a challenging time for her, she has not forgotten her late husband, who had been so crucial to her long reign. In a post on behalf of the Queen on Instagram, we can see a picture of herself dressed in green with a hat on.
She is smiling and could not be any happier. The post was captioned by the following comments: “I have spoken before of my deep and abiding affection for this wonderful country and of the many happy memories Prince Philip and I always held of our time here.”
This statement was part of the Queen’s visit to open the Scottish Parliament, and Scotland is a place that has many fond memories for the Royal family.
It was the place where Prince William and Kate Middleton got really close to each other before they got married. But that is not the only reason for its significance. It is also a place that is known for being so generous and giving back to the community.
That is why the Queen has held the country in such high regard. She added: “Prince William has told me many heartening stories that he heard first hand of people and communities across Scotland uniting to protect and care for those who are isolated or vulnerable.”
And this spirit has been seen through the unity that has emerged during the pandemic. At a time where many people are struggling across the world, Scotland has come together to show that hope is still there.
The following comments confirmed as much: “The Queen acknowledged and thanked the “remarkable people, who have made such a positive difference to so many” during the pandemic.”
Scotland has been responsible for the Royal’s best memories, and we can expect there to be plenty more of them in the near future.
