The actor, who met Kate in 2019 at the British Academy Film and Television Awards, had a heart to heart with Kate in the most spontaneous of circumstances.
And during the course of their encounter, Kate’s recent pregnancy had come up. And Rami made sure that he brought up the topic as a way to bond with her.
During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Rami said: “I just looked at Princess Kate at one point [during the 2019 BAFTA Awards], and I said, ‘This must be exhausting.’ And she said, ‘Why?’ And I said, ‘You just had a baby, right?”
So how did Kate respond to his very blunt question? Well, rather well as she viewed it as Rami showing a lot of care for her. And that is when Kate started to open up more to Rami as they became very good friends.
Kate had reportedly replied: “How are you doing?’ And I said, ‘How are you?’ And in the most regal, elegant way, she gave me a look, but you can tell. Imagine [being] dressed to the nines, having to talk to all these actors.”
Just when you thought that was enough, Rami even offered to go out of his way to make sure that Kate was fine. He claimed that he made an offer of babysitting for Kate, so that she could take some time out in order to be with her husband, Prince William.
Although Kate has enough nannies at her disposal, the fact that Rami made those comments will stay with her. He continued: “I said, ‘You know if you ever need time off, I’m back up for you.
“She’s like, ‘What do you mean?’ I said, ‘You guys go out, have a good time.” Rami certainly made an impression with the Royal family, and he will have an opportunity to do it once again as they recently attended the premiere of the new James Bond film.
