Prince William has stepped forward and taken on a lead role following the passing of Prince Philip.
Royal Expert Claims Prince William Has Taken On A Lead Role In The Royal Family
That is according to Royal expert Robert Lacey. William, for his part, has had a lot to contend with during this time. He has seen his brother Prince Harry depart the Royal family by moving overseas and continuing to criticise the institution.
In addition, William has had to keep a brave face among difficult events such as the funeral of Philip, in addition to the recent 24th anniversary of his mother Prince Diana’s death at a time where the world has been suffering from the consequences of the pandemic.
But it is during these tough times that William has stepped up to the plate. In an interview with People magazine, Robert said: “The British throne has survived beheading, exile and enough scandal to stock entire libraries.
“Now a new leader – William, not Charles – is paving the way forward.” It is wise that William takes on the lead role, given that Charles is not getting any younger.
Moreover, if there is anyone that is going to reunite the Royal family, then it is going to be William. After all, he and Harry were very close, while the same could not be said of Harry’s relationship with his father, Charles.
Robert added: “Following the April death of Grandpa [Prince] Philip, William has stepped up to become one of the top three family figures, adding the ginger of youth to royal strategy.”
On closer inspection, Robert could not be saying anything truer. William has led people’s attention to the increasing worry on tackling significant environmental issues.
Furthermore, William has made it a priority to carry on the Royal lineage by getting his children, in particular Prince George, into Royal duties from a young age, as seen by his appearance at the recent Euro 2020 finals this year.
William certainly has a lot of things on his plate, but the manner in which he has gone about in handling these obstacles should be commended. The only question remaining is will he be able to solve the rift between Harry and the Royals?
