It’s that magical time of year again, where WWE shuffles their roster around. WWE draft time is here, and we’ve already seen the first televised night. The expected names were drafted early – Roman Reigns, Big E, Charlotte Flair and more. More big names will be in the pool for Monday Night RAW’s edition of the draft, but some names aren’t big enough to be drafted on the main shows. This is where a show like Talking Smack comes into play, and this year’s first section of Supplemental Drafts are now done.
Mace & T-Bar Broken Up In WWE Draft
The biggest story coming out of these draft picks is the final nail in the coffin of Retribution. Mace & T-Bar had stuck together after the faction broke up as a tag team on Monday Night RAW. However, now Mace has been drafted to Smackdown Live – with T-Bar remaining on Monday Night RAW. This is the first tag team split up by this years draft – with The New Day being split up as a faction, with Xavier & Kofi to Smackdown and Big E staying on RAW.
T-Bar would quickly give a warning on Twitter that the RAW roster better feast their eyes, showing that he might finally drop the T-Bar name. In NXT and on the indies he was Dominik Dijakovic, and alongside Keith Lee had some incredible matches. The T-Bar gimmick was fine, but Dijakovic as himself has a higher ceiling within WWE. There’s also no reason why he shouldn’t drop the gimmick now. Mace should also have a good chance in solo action.
Which Brands Got Who?
So which names were picked for which brands on Talking Smack?
The picks for Monday Night RAW were Nia Jax, Doudrop, Zelina Vega, John Morrison, Reggie, R-Truth, Drake Maverick, T-Bar, Tozawa, Alpha Academy, Crews and Azeez. The Miz remains undrafted, potentially breaking him and Morrison up – and Drake Maverick has been called up from NXT again. Hopefully he avoids peeing on TV this time.
Smackdown Live would get Toni Storm, Aliyah, Mace, Drew Gulak, Mansoor, and Mustafa Ali. Aliyah has officially been called up, and Mansoor & Mustafa Ali have stayed alive as a tag team. Keen eyed fans will notice Mace & Mansoor are still together, so their antics on Twitter won’t stop.
