‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that while Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) wedding went off without a hitch, there looks to be a lot more on the other side for them then daisies and kisses. One of the surprising hurdles is Victoria’s own brother, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), who seems to want the same thing Jesse Gaines (Jamison Jones) does.
While that’s enough to deal with, it feels like Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) might also be up to something else… As he’s been pushing along the marriage to Ashland as a way to ‘protect his daughter’, even buying off Jesse Gaines at one point. But what’s his end game?
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Does Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) Have More Up His Sleeve Than Just ‘Protecting His Daughter’?
Many fans feel like he’s just doing what is right, and protecting his daughter’s interests, while others think it’s a cold, calculated move for his own benefit. Could Victor stand to gain from the new company staying together long-term? So he wants to make sure it stays in tact?
Or, does he really just ‘appreciate’ Ashland that much and admires his stories? With how ruthless Victor has been over the years, (and lately as he was ready to watch Ashland die in front of him), it’s odd that Victor is seemingly brushing off everything that has happened with Ashland and saying that as long as Victoria is happy, he’s happy. That seems a bit silly, right?
Viewers commented on the situation, “Who else thinks that Victor is up to something other than just ‘protecting’ Victoria? There is always something in it for him in the end.”, “Yes for future business. Whatever business/trouble comes up next. Victor has an extra son.” and “Heck yeah!! Victor has a plan for this marriage/ merger to benefit Victor. He use that”my family” as a cover up.”
