Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Live Results!
Tonight we’re kicking off this year’s first true post draft episode with the draft choices and free agents all signed and accounted for.
We could also see Brock Lesnar appear as he promised to destroy Roman Reigns. It should be interesting.
We’ll be back at the 9 p.m. EST showtime to get WWE Smackdown Live Results rolling into toward Survivor Series.
Segment 1
Roman Reigns came out, and after mocking Heyman’s loyalties, he mocked Lesnar and refuses to leave the ring until Lesnar comes out.
We’ll see what happens after the commercial break.
Segment 2
Lesnar came out as Reigns was about to leave and Lesnar destroyed him, the Usos, officials and other superstars that came out before standing tall in the ring with the belt as a beaten Reigns retreated to raucous cheers.
As if there was any doubt who should’ve won yesterday.
Segment 3
Adam Pearce announced that Lesnar’s suspended indefinitely, and Lesnar shared his thoughts with a pair of F-5s that ripped Pearce’s pants.
Segment 4
Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn
Drew issued a open challenge and Zayn accepted since he’s the greatest Smackdown superstar. Drew responded by throwing him into the barricade as we headed to commercial.
Segment 5
Zayn came close, but Drew countered a Helluva Kick with a Claymore.
Segment 6
Xavier Woods‘ Coronation
Kofi was at his best as he presented Woods with his cloak of protection, his scepter, and his crown.
Segment 7
Mansoor vs. Mustafa Ali
This was a fast paced match with plenty of hard hitting until Mansoor rolled up Ali’s sunset flip attempt for the win.
Segment 8
Hit Row (Isaiah “Swerve” Scott and Top Dolla) vs. Dustin Lawyer and Daniel Williams
This was a quick one as Hit Row showed what they can do against some enhancement talent in an impressive display.
Segment 9
Intercontinental Championship Contenders Match – Shinsuke Nakamua w/Rick Boogs vs. Happy Corbin w/Madcap Moss
This started off pretty quick and Nakamura took control after a flurry by Corbin, but Corbin front slammed Nakamura to the floor from the apron as we headed to commercial.
Segment 10
After a great back and forth, Nakamura got tied up with Moss when Moss stopped Boogs from playing. Corbin then hit a End of Days for the win.
Segment 11
Women’s Championship exchange
The exchange didn’t go smoothly and Lynch threw her title at Flair, and Flair challenged her to a winner take all match to close the night out.
Banks came out and Lynch left, saying she’ll see one of them at Survivor Series. After a verbal exchange Banks and Flair went at it and Banks hit a meteora off the apron before Deville got between them.
This episode had a good flow to it, but aside from the opening with Reigns and Lesnar the rest felt like a let down.
